Emergency Dental Care — Advance Dental & Implant Center, Dar es Salaam

Emergency Dental Care

If you are in pain right now, start here.

The clinic provides emergency dental services during clinic hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Saturday, 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Sunday closed. Walk-in patients are accepted. We do not claim a 24-hour service.

Severe tooth pain

Rinse with warm salty water. Take the pain relief you normally use, at the dose on the packet. Do not place aspirin directly on the gum. Contact us as soon as you can — pain that continues for days is often an infection.

A broken tooth

Keep the broken piece in milk or salty water and bring it with you. Avoid chewing on that side. If a sharp edge is cutting your tongue, cover it temporarily with dental wax and come to the clinic.

A knocked-out tooth

Time matters greatly. Hold the tooth by the crown, never the root. Do not scrub it. If you can, place it gently back in the socket and hold it there. If not, keep it in milk and reach a clinic immediately.

Bleeding that will not stop

Fold clean gauze or cloth over the area and press firmly for 15 minutes without letting go. Avoid repeated rinsing. If bleeding continues after that, seek medical care promptly.

When you arrive at the clinic

Relieving the pain comes first. Everything else follows.

Urgent patients are given priority. We do not begin with long forms or large plans — we begin by finding the source of the pain and settling it.

01

You are seen quickly

Come to the clinic during opening hours. No appointment is needed for an emergency.

02

The cause is found

An examination and on-site digital X-ray show what is causing the pain, swelling or bleeding.

03

Pain is treated the same day

In most cases we can relieve the pain and bring an infection under control in that same visit.

04

Full treatment is planned

Once you are comfortable, we go through the options and costs calmly — without rushing you.

Treatment depends on examination findings. A small number of situations need specialist care, and we arrange that referral ourselves.

Reaching the clinic

The fastest route is to call. You can also email us or come to the clinic during opening hours.
